How to Transition your Beauty Routine for Fall

How to Transition your Beauty Routine for Fall

Fall means all the cozy things, hot chocolate and cuddles but it also means less hours of sunlight and colder temps which can be harsh on your skin. Not to worry though, I’ll be showing you how I adjust my beauty routine for fall and help you protect your skin against the elements!

Moisturizer to Cream

In the summer I use a lightweight moisturizer since I sweat more and don’t want to get too oily. For fall I’ll be trading that for the Laneige Water Bank Moisture Cream which is thicker and will really lock in moisture and last all day.

Add a Color Corrector

My skin is more even in the summer when my under eye circles are lighter but in the winter I have redness brought on by harsh winds and low temps. I like to use NYX’s Dark Circle Concealer for my eyes and the green Color Correcting Primer for any redness before I use foundation.

Tinted Moisturizer/BB Cream for Stick Foundation

I let my freckles shine in the summer when the sun enhances them, plus my skin simply glows when I have a tan so I can get away with a tinted moisturizer or BB cream with light coverage. I love Laura Mercier’s Tinted Moisturizer because it’s lightweight but for winter I prefer full coverage. The Lancome Teint Idole Ultrawear Makeup Stick gives me a satin finish that I love! It’s buildable as well and sets fast so you want to move quickly. Once she’s on, she’s not going anywhere!

Creamy Concealer

With my tinted moisturizer I can usually get away without concealer but that just isn’t the case in the fall lol. I’m currently using Lancôme’s Teint Idole Ultrawear Camouflage Concealer which is high coverage & really covers everything up!

Mascara Primer & Non-Waterproof Mascara

I use waterproof mascara in the summer but it’s harsh on my lashes so I switched over to Lancôme’s Monsieur Big Mascara which I’m loving. I also added the Lancôme Cils Booster XL mascara primer for extra lash protection.
