My skin type has always leaned more on the dry side so making sure my skin is moisturized is obviously top priority and after tons of trial & error, I’ve finally perfected the dewy skin/”no-makeup” makeup look. The key is to use more soft cream and liquid products and minimal powder! You can achieve this if you’re oily as well, you just have to use a really good primer before anything, like Rare Beauty’s Pore Diffusing Primer.

I learned from a professional Makeup Artist on set at a photoshoot to mix moisturizer directly into my foundation for a dewy, more natural finish and I’ve been swearing by that technique ever since! The Fenty Eaze Skin Tint is made just for mixing and I recommend First Aide Beauty’s Ultra Repair Cream for that added moisture. Personally, I would skip powder all together but if you can’t avoid it, use one with fine specs of glitter for a glowy finish like Laura Mercier’s Translucent Setting Powder.

I’m currently obsessed with Merit Beauty’s Flush Balm Cream Blush and their Day Glow Highlighting Balm! They both glide on the skin silky smooth and deposit a ton of product without disturbing any makeup you might have on underneath which I think can be super tough when you’re trying to achieve a dewy finish. When choosing products like this I tend to lean more toward warm tones and peach hues, they remind me of sun-kissed skin in the summer, which is the epitome of dewy! I also don’t think this look is complete without a sexy, supple yet glossy lip. Lip prep is just as important as skin prep so go in with a nice lip scrub like Fenty Pro Kiss’r and moisturize with Laneige’s Lip Sleeping Mask (I use it all day). Thank me later! The Fenty Cream Gloss Bombs give that supple effect effortlessly & if you want an extra pop of shine, layer a frosted Gloss Bomb on top. Last but not least, set all your hard work with Tatcha’s Luminous Dewy Skin Mist, she’s on the pricy side but so worth it!
