Curly Cocktail Tuesday: Moisture & Definition

Curly Cocktail Tuesday: Moisture & Definition

Hey babes, here is the curly cocktail routine & products I used this week to achieve definition and lock in moisture. Some of these products are tried & true, but I also tested a few out and I’m sharing my thoughts below! You can shop all the products directly on my Amazon Page. May the curl Gods forever be in your favor!

First I rinsed any build-up out of my hair, then I shampooed once with Creme of Nature’s Mango & Shea butter Ultra Moisturizing Shampoo.

After an initial “pre-poo” I used the Renpure Viva Curl Whipped Coconut Creme Cowash. The extra moisture let’s any knots slip right out and it smells amazing!

I like to give my hair a final wash again after detangling to really make sure my hair is squeaky clean and to give it back some oils that were stripped away. For this cocktail, I used the Ouidad Ultra-Nourishing Cleansing Oil.

I like to do a deep treatment once a week for at least 10-15 minutes. This week I had over 200 beauty insider points at Sephora so I picked up a sample of the Deva Curl Melt into Moisture Matcha Butter Conditioning Mask. It made my hair sooo silky soft, I couldn’t believe it. I’m picking up the full size ASAP!

Once I’m out of the shower, I like to style using the LOC (Leave-in Conditioner. Oil. Cream.) method except I do things out of order. I start with a Leave-in Conditioner and this week I tried a sample of the Okay Pure Naturals Black Jamaican Castor Oil Leave-in Deep Conditioner. I was SO impressed at how lightweight it was, and the scent reminded me so much of summer. I think this is going to be one of my go-to products this summer!

I like to use a Cream/Milk second in my styling process instead of the oil, because oil is a sealant and seals the moisture/products into the cuticle of the hair. Lately, I’ve been using the Creme of Nature Moisture Coconut Hair Milk and it gets 5 stars from me so far. It doesn’t leave a waxy feeling which I love.

Lastly, I used two different oils. I tried the Tropic Isle Living Jamaican Black Castor Oil for my scalp/edges to promote growth. Castor oil is much too thick to use all over your hair so I like a lighter oil, and use it very lightly. My go -to is Curls Blueberry Bliss Hair Growth Oil.

Give these products a try and let me know your thoughts! Let’s chat during my next Curly Cocktail Tuesday…

Love,

G
